Through the personal life journey, education and growth of the Acugems founder, Dr. Aracely Plateroti's mission for Acugems was to create products to harmonize the body, emotions, mind and spirit. Acugems evolved from the passion Dr. Aracely Plateroti has for gemstones, science, research and Oriental Medicine.
Acugems was founded in 2003 in Santa Barbara California. Acugems therapy systems have been sold in the United States and abroad and are in use by many Practitioners, Estheticians, as well as school clinics. The success of Acugems is founded on the efficacy of the patented gem spiral helix design, which is based on years of clinical research.
Acugems therapy systems are not mass produced, which allows us to create one of a kind products. For example each gem spiral helix is designed with only the highest quality gemstones, which are hand picked. This is what makes Acugems so unique, not to mention the Love and Integrity in designing each individual system.
Aracely Plateroti O.M.D., Ph.D., received her Doctor of Oriental Medicine from American Liberty University, Los Angeles California. Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine, Bachelor of Biological Science in Environmental Health from Fresno State University. Dr. Aracely Plateroti is a Licensed Acupuncturist by the California Acupuncture Board and National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine to provide Primary Care. Dr. Aracely Plateroti is also an acclaimed educator and inventor, and has taught numerous training seminars throughout the United States.
Dr. Aracely Plateroti has specialized in Cosmetic Facial Rejuvenation with acupuncture and gems for over 9 years. After combining her Eastern Medical knowledge with a Board Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Carmelo Plateroti, she was very excited to launch in 2008 Acugems Facial Rejuve and VENUS technology.
